Welcome to Your First Step Into Structured Rests
Before you begin the lessons, I want to give you a moment to settle in. This mini course is not about doing more. It’s about learning a new way of supporting your system — gently, steadily, and without pressure.
Structured Rests are one of the foundational tools of recovery because they help your nervous system shift out of survival mode and into a state where healing can actually happen. This short welcome video will help you understand how to begin, how to pace yourself, and how to build a rhythm that fits your life and your current capacity.

A Note From My Own Recovery Path
There was a time when I relied on Structured Rest as a lifeline. I was housebound, sometimes bedbound, and there were long stretches when I simply couldn’t sleep. What surprised me was that these intentional rests began to lower symptoms — sometimes even dissolve them — in a way nothing else had. They gave me pockets of energy when sleep wasn’t available, and over time they became the foundation of the rhythm and structure that eventually brought me back into my life. I didn’t start with long practices; I built gradually, adding one rest, then two, then three, following what my system could tolerate. This wasn’t about perfection or discipline. It was about discovering a way to support myself, to calm my system, and to begin rewiring patterns that were keeping me stuck. Structured Rests were the tool that helped me restore trust, capacity, and ultimately, recovery — and they remain a core part of how I support clients today.
